  1. Subject: A book about finding where belonging begins

Hi John! My name is Deacon Bill Brawner, MAAT, author of Longing to Belonging. I noticed your review of Try Softer, and one thing you said really stayed with me: that it was one of those books that made you think, “I could have used that information a long time ago.” I also appreciated your description of “trying softer” as practicing gentleness rather than white-knuckling our way through life. That made me wonder if Longing to Belonging might interest you as well. What happens when the ways we have learned to protect ourselves from rejection begin keeping connection out? Longing to Belonging explores how rejection can become part of the story we tell ourselves about who we are, and how discovering our belonging in God’s unconditional love can give us the freedom to risk connection again. If you are interested, I would be happy to send you a free digital copy in hopes that, if you enjoy it, you might be willing to share an honest review. Of course, there is absolutely no obligation to review it, and I completely understand if your plate is already full. If you do review it, good or bad, honest is all I am after. I appreciate your consideration either way. Thanks! Deacon Bill Brawner, MAAT
